Warranty Coverage Conditions
If your computer develops a problem at no fault of the customer during the warranty period, we (the seller) will repair the computer free of charge.
All warranty repairs are to be carried out at our primary business address. If the faulty product is required to be returned to us to undertake repairs under warranty, we will reimburse the customer the full value of the postage costs incurred in returning the product to us, if sent by Australia Post Registered Parcel or equivalent cheaper service. If the customer chooses to use a more expensive service (eg. Australia Post Express Parcel), we will only reimburse the postage amount up to the cost that would have been incurred if the product had been returned using the Registered Parcel service.
The one exception to this warranty conditions is regarding laptop batteries. As laptop batteries are a consumable item, and do inevitably wear down over time, we can only cover laptop batteries for failure for 30 days, regardless of the standard warranty for the rest of the computer.
Our warranty does not cover the product if:
a. The product is outside its warranty period.
b. The returned product shows obvious signs of physical damage or mistreatment. This includes (but is not limited to) water damage, damaged casing or cracked screens from an impact, damage caused by pets or animals etc.
Our warranty also does not cover:
c. Software issues. Including viruses, spyware, forgotten passwords, program installation, data recovery etc. (However, we do offer a free operating system reinstallation service provided the customer covers the cost of getting the product from them to us, and back again.)
Warranty Claim Process
If your computer develops a problem within the warranty period, the following steps will be taken:
1. Often the problem you may be having just requires a simple fix that can be worked through over the phone or via email. If you contact us via email or phone, one of our technicians can ask a few questions to diagnose whether or not the problem can be fixed without returning the computer.
2. If the problem cannot be fixed over the phone or email, the computer will need to be returned to our warehouse. Provided the computer is under warranty, we will cover all delivery costs from you to us, then back again. Once received, your computer will be examined with the utmost priority. The majority of the time, we will have your computer repaired and sent back out to you the very same day it arrives at our warehouse.
3. If we are unable to repair the computer, will will replace it with an identical or upgraded model free of charge. If we find ourselves in the rare situation where your item cannot be replaced, we will refund you the full value of your purchase price, including all postage costs.
Our Warranty only covers each computer for hardware issues. Unfortunately, we are not able to cover accidental damage (ie. liquids spills, smashed screens), or software issues (ie. forgotton passwords, virus infections etc.). For software issues, we do offer free operating reinstalls - however it is up to the customer to cover postage costs both ways, as well as ensure all of their data is backed up prior to returning the computer to us.
